Prospective Parents

If your child is starting school in September 2026 and you'd like to know more about our school or arrange a visit, please contact our school office. Rather than offering one-off open days, we prefer to offer individual visits so you can ask questions and we can get to know you and your child. We can accommodate visits during and at the end of the school day. We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you!

A very warm welcome to Thorpe Primary School. It is both an honour and a privilege to be the Headteacher of such a wonderful school at the heart of our community.

At Thorpe Primary School, children are at the centre of everything we do. We believe every child has unique talents, interests and potential, and it is our privilege to help them grow, learn and succeed. Our vision is simple: to ensure that every child feels happy, safe and inspired so that they can flourish not just in their learning, but also as kind, confident and resilient young people.

We set high aspirations for all our children, because we know that with the right support and encouragement, every child can achieve more than they ever thought possible. Just as importantly, we are committed to nurturing their character, creativity and curiosity—helping them to discover who they are and what they can become.

Our school is more than just a place of learning; it is a family. We value the strong partnerships we build with parents, carers, governors and the wider community, working together to make sure every child has the very best start in life.

I feel incredibly proud of our children, our staff and the warmth of our school community, and I look forward to welcoming you to Thorpe Primary School and sharing our journey of success and celebration together.

James Grayston
