Nursery staff

In Nursery, the teachers are Mrs Aird and Mrs Stephenson. The support staff are Mrs Hodson, Mrs Stokes, Mrs Kaye, Mrs Hammond and Miss Hudson.

In Nursery, we will be building your child's foundation of learning and supporting them to become 'school ready'. Through exciting, purposeful provision and adult-led sessions, the children will access all 17 areas of learning. We have carefully designed a curriculum that caters for all needs, is inspiring and has taken into account local information. In Nursery, we will predominantly learn through play. It is essential that children learn through meaningful, playful experiences as this supports the development of the whole child. You can find the overview of our learning for this half term below.

Current Class book

This half term we will be learning our nativity to perform to parents in the final week of term. Alongside this, we will be looking at different books that retell the biblical story of the nativity. We will learn the nativity story using a story map which we will be able to recite and will link actions to, please see the image below of our story map.

We will learn more widely about why we celebrate Christmas and what different Christmas traditions there are around the world.

Photos of our classroom

We will record your child's learning through our online journal system called 'Tapestry'. On here you will find a weekly blog and any 'WOW' moments your child experiences in nursery.

Please remember sign up to your child's tapestry account! Thank you!
